Program outcomes

  1. Design virtual reality content using appropriate digital platforms and technical principles to meet production requirements
  2. Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients to ensure production processes and workflows are followed through all stages of production
  3. Complete the production of 2D and 3D visual elements to create aesthetically relevant assets that promote exploration within the virtual environments
  4. Manage the production pipeline to meet schedules and budget constraints of a virtual reality production
  5. Select appropriate hardware and software protocols to create various forms of extended reality (XR) such as augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR).
  6. Analyze aspects of real environments such as lighting, movement, and audio to digitally create them in a virtual environment using appropriate software and techniques.
  7. Work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams to produce virtual reality and other extended reality projects that meet client requirements.
  8. Develop and use personal and professional strategies and plans to improve professional growth and job performance
  9. Analyze trends and the evolution of virtual and augmented reality platforms to inform the design of extended reality applications
  10. Create extended reality experiences using a human-centred design approach that incorporates safe and ethical practices
  11. Experiment with various storytelling techniques that guide exploration within extended reality content for a richer user experience
