Autodesk for 3D Printing I

Description:

This course will introduce students to the skills required to model simple 3D objects and configure them for printing in the Autodesk suite. Students will learn to interpret engineering drawings created in the Autodesk suite. This course will begin with basic engineering drafting skills of mechanical parts and progress to more complex parts. Students will gain knowledge of the creation of various objects within the Autodesk suite of programs. The main areas of study are system customization, drawing and editing tools, and dimensioning techniques with a focus on 3D printing.

Onshape I

This course will introduce students to the skills required to model 3D objects and configure them for additive printing using Onshape. Students will learn to create accurate and fully defined sketches, produce solid part models, relate parts in assemblies and generate geometry in technical drawings. This course will emphasize engineering drafting skills of mechanical parts and progress to more complex parts. Students will gain knowledge of the creation of various objects within Onshape. The main areas of study are system customization, drawing, editing, dimensioning techniques, within the perspective of producing models optimized for additive printing.

Additive Manufacturing I

Additive Manufacturing II

Description:

This course builds on students' learning from Additive Manufacturing I to explore other additive manufacturing (AM) processes and increase their depth of skill and knowledge with Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) printing. Students will further explore best practices for Design For Additive Manufacturing (DFAM) and practice creating FDM prints of increased complexity. They will also discuss best practices and appropriate applications of other AM tools, including Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) and resin (SLA) 3D printing.

Resource Planning for Additive Manufacturing
