Program outcomes

  1. Develop recommendations for operations to become more financially, socially and environmentally sustainable based on primary and secondary research
  2. Evaluate key data associated with sustainable business practices in order to improve triple bottom line performance
  3. Develop and critique methods for communicating sustainability and corporate social responsibility, promoting engagement and leading and managing change within the public and private sectors
  4. Develop plans and recommendations for sustainable products and services capitalizing on current business risks and opportunities discovered through environmental scans, stakeholder engagement and analysis of local and global marketplace trends
  5. Develop a business case to justify investing in and embedding sustainability in organizations
  6. Formulate marketing strategies encompassing sustainability and corporate social responsibility for products and services based on the organization's competitive advantage
  7. Apply industry identified best practices to key performance areas such as waste, water, energy and greenhouse gases to maintain and support sustainable operations
  8. Analyze the role of sustainability, corporate social responsibility and ethics within an organization's agenda based on examination of the historical evolution of environmentalism, current drivers of sustainability and anticipation of future business trends.
