Program outcomes

  1. Apply the principles of mathematics and science to analyze and solve complex technical problems related to packaging engineering technology.
  2. Evaluate the characteristics, attributes, manufacturing processes, systems and technologies associated with packaging materials through the application of engineering principles and practices.
  3. Design protective packaging systems and processes that address hazards encountered in product distribution and meet market and customer demands.
  4. Use modeling and design packaging software to solve management, technology, and applied engineering problems.
  5. Apply packaging testing techniques to different packaging materials and systems.
  6. Recommend improvements to processes and products through the examination of distribution, logistics, operations and the regulatory and business environments.
  7. Communicate, orally and in writing, with technical and non-technical stakeholders to implement business recommendations and processes.
