Program outcomes
- Apply the principles of mathematics and science to analyze and solve complex technical problems related to packaging engineering technology.
- Evaluate the characteristics, attributes, manufacturing processes, systems and technologies associated with packaging materials through the application of engineering principles and practices.
- Design protective packaging systems and processes that address hazards encountered in product distribution and meet market and customer demands.
- Use modeling and design packaging software to solve management, technology, and applied engineering problems.
- Apply packaging testing techniques to different packaging materials and systems.
- Recommend improvements to processes and products through the examination of distribution, logistics, operations and the regulatory and business environments.
- Communicate, orally and in writing, with technical and non-technical stakeholders to implement business recommendations and processes.
