This course builds on the knowledge acquired in the introductory Project Management course. Students will learn a structured multi-tiered approach that can be used to identify the different types of risks associated with projects such as technical, time, costs, quality and others. Students will learn to communicate risks effectively and share the responsibility of managing risks with team members, customers and management. Students will develop creative thinking skills and problem solving skills in the context of dealing with issues encountered while managing a project.

This course will provide insights into why agile delivery can be a significant advantage to companies in the current business environment. You will learn what it means to be an agile enterprise and will explore the agile coach’s role in supporting the people, process, and organizational structure in the transformation towards greater agile maturity and mindset. Through the exploration of theory, relevant case studies, and classroom discussions, you will study ways to enhance the company’s agility by applying practical coaching tools and strategies. The course content highlights the essential dimensions of developing agile maturity while differentiating various scaling models that chart a roadmap to successful transformation. This course aligns well with students interested in becoming familiar with how Agile works at scale or want to pursue a career as an Agile coach.

A product owner bridges business strategy and product delivery and decides what the Agile team will build next to deliver the most value to the customer. In this course, you will learn about the product owner's role, leadership traits, and responsibilities. You will discover how to align the team around the product vision and develop techniques to refine and prioritize a product backlog and user stories. You will explore release planning processes and discover approaches to interact with stakeholders, customers, and agile team members to provide more value to the product being delivered. This course aligns well with students who want to pursue a career as a Product Owner or expand their knowledge of agile roles and processes.
