This course introduces students to processes for analyzing information to assess overall efficiency, effectiveness, and quality against established standards, and to design quality control plans and specifications of product development. Students will learn to apply the fundamental methods, techniques, and processes of software testing to write a test plan and incident/defect reports for industry-specific business scenarios. Students will explore a variety of test approaches and test tools that are suitable for different testing scopes. This course focuses on integrating test processes with agile software development methodologies. Successful completion of this course will help prepare students to write the Certified Associate in Software Testing (CAST).
