Careers - May 2026

Graduates of the CDA program work in a supportive capacity with registered speech-language pathologists or audiologists and may find employment in a variety of health care or community settings such as:

  • acute hospitals, adult and children's rehabilitation centres or long-term care facilities
  • school boards or daycare settings
  • private speech or audiology clinics
  • hearing screening services or hearing retail settings
Refer to the Communicative Disorder Assistant Association of Canada website for a list of current examples of CDAs at Work. Depending on the setting or area of specialization desired, graduates may need to relocate across the province or country to find employment as a CDA.
