If you have an interest in supporting the mental health and wellness of children, this Children's Mental Health Services graduate certificate is for you. This program provides you with knowledge and skills to create environments that support children's mental health and wellness. You will learn about children's mental health services, legislation, and human rights and the role they play in supporting children and families in our communities. Through course work, simulations, and field placement, you will examine how biological and social factors impact mental health and wellness, develop, critique, and implement strategies to foster mental health and wellness in children, and engage in reflective practice as a member of an interprofessional mental health team. As a graduate of this program, you will be prepared to support children's mental health and wellness in various settings such as schools, childcare centers, hospitals and community organizations.
