Students will complete case studies using data sets from different major areas of business operations to produce Descriptive Analytics knowledge useful to decision makers. Diagnostic Analysis

Diagnostic analysis takes the insights found from descriptive analytics and drills down to find the causes of those outcomes. Students will practice diagnostic analysis with a variety of case studies using best practices such as conducting process/system analysis, critical thinking, data extraction, regression analysis, model building, and data mining. Recent history of diagnostic analytics and the events' impacts on business and society will be explored.
