The program prepares graduates for a number of progressive careers that support children, youth and families in the areas of curriculum implementation and co-ordination, program development and co-ordination, and social policy work. Graduates meet the academic requirements for registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators of Ontario qualifying them for employment as Registered Early Childhood Educators. Conestoga College and Wilfrid Laurier University have an agreement that allows top ranking graduates of the Early Learning Program Development degree a pathway for admission into the Bachelor of Education – primary/junior stream.
On average, 100% of co-op and 86% of non co-op graduates from 2020 to 2022 found employment within six months of graduation.
