Program outcomes

  1. Operate a variety of video production hardware and software, including drone technology, to capture events and process professional quality video that meet the needs of the client.
  2. Edit digital video using industry standard software to produce a high quality finished product.
  3. Create content in specific media formats to support its distribution and consumption across a variety of platforms.
  4. Evaluate the purpose and scope of projects to establish relevant videography and photography elements and create the required motion graphics.
  5. Develop strategies, such as marketing, prospecting, and project analysis to secure clients and opportunities in industry.
  6. Create a portfolio that highlights innovation and technical acumen to present samples that address the demands of the creative industry for freelance and contract work.
  7. Plan, edit, and execute sound design as required for the development of professional quality video.
  8. Integrate the aesthetic principles of graphic design motion graphics, within the planning, production and editing of creative content.
  9. Evaluate the products being presented according to merit, technical competence, and profitability to qualify video materials for a variety of platforms.
  10. Complete all projects in conformance with industry ethics, policy, legislation, health and safety, and copyright restrictions.
  11. Develop and conduct compelling interviews for distribution on a variety of media platforms.
