Empower your future with Conestoga's Women in Skilled Trades (WIST) Carpentry and Residential Installations Pre-Apprenticeship program.

Are you ready to build a career that makes a difference in your community? Conestoga College's fully funded Women in Skilled Trades (WIST) Carpentry and Residential Installations Pre-Apprenticeship program is designed for women who want to break into the construction industry with confidence.

This hands-on program introduces you to carpentry, plumbing and HVAC basics while teaching you how to work safely, solve problems, and use tools effectively. Whether you're starting fresh or looking for a new path, you'll gain the skills and support you need to succeed in the skilled trades.

  • Safe and effective use of hand and power tools
  • Carpentry fundamentals through real construction projects
  • Introductory plumbing and heating/AC installation techniques
  • Applied math, communication and job search strategies
