Explore the trades with Conestoga's Construction Techniques (Welding, HVAC, Plumbing, and Masonry) certificate.
If you're a high school graduate eager to enter the skilled trades but unsure where to start, Conestoga's one-year Construction Techniques (Welding, HVAC, Plumbing, and Masonry) certificate offers the perfect starting point. Delivered at Conestoga's state-of-the-art Skilled Trades Campus, this Ontario college program provides hands-on training in four in-demand trades: welding; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); plumbing; and masonry.
Structured in seven-week blocks, each trade module gives you practical experience using professional tools and techniques, while emphasizing safety and industry standards. You'll also strengthen your math and employment skills, preparing you for entry-level work or further education in trade-specific diploma or apprenticeship programs. Taught by experienced tradespeople, this program helps you discover your strengths and build a solid foundation for a rewarding career.

The tuition and fee details for the 2026-2027 academic year (September 2026 to August 2027) are provided below for your selected intake. Please note that fees for the 2027-2028 academic year (September 2027 to August 2028) will be released in Spring 2027. Students continuing their studies into the 2027-2028 academic year should review the updated fee details when they become available. Additional costs for books and supplies may apply. All fees are subject to change and are reassessed annually.
