Facilities Management is involved in the coordination and management of all construction projects and renovations that contribute to the improvement and expansion at Conestoga.
Test centre construction
The college is constructing a state-of-the-art testing centre. This environmentally-controlled space will be available to internal and external clients.
Guelph exterior renovations
Conestoga is working on a multi-million-dollar renovation to the exterior façade of the Guelph campus as part of ongoing energy initiatives. This project will replace the insulation, brick work, exterior windows and doors to increase insulation value and provide a facelift to the exterior.
Classroom updates
The college is updating and renovating classrooms at the Doon and Guelph campuses. These upgrades will allow for a more collaborative teaching environment with technological advancements.
Geothermal PV project
Conestoga is installing ground source heat pump (geothermal) and solar photovoltaic (PV) at the Cambridge campus as part of our net zero carbon footprint objective.
The geothermal heating and cooling system will eliminate natural gas for space heating and provide space cooling from a renewable energy source. The geothermal system will be combined with a new PV system to offset 100 per cent of the annual electricity consumption.
