What’s Happening in Trades & Apprenticeship?

Jill of All Trades

In conjunction with the School College Work Initiative – Grand Connection Regional Planning Team, Conestoga hosts a day-long event to inspire young women in grades 9 to 12 regarding the many opportunities that careers in trades and technology provide. Approximately 200 female students from eight local school boards attend.

The event includes an array of hands-on workshops led by female mentors to help young women develop a better understanding of the potential of skilled trades careers. Additional highlights include a parent and daughter dinner.

Trades and Apprenticeship Awards Ceremony

Conestoga’s School of Trades & Apprenticeship in partnership with numerous industry partners hosts an Annual Awards Presentation each May. This is an excellent opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our students and apprentices and acknowledge our tremendous industry support. Awards are presented to students in motive power, construction, industrial and service programs.
