Respect@Conestoga

Respect@Conestoga acknowledges that we're a community that strives to be respectful, welcoming and inclusive to all. We are proud of our community's diversity and our learning environment is enriched by various backgrounds and abilities.

Respect is the understanding that we share a common community and a behaviour of civility that we all value. Through leadership and positive role modeling, we have the opportunity to impact those around us:

Land Acknowledgement

One of our first steps of Respect@Conestoga is to acknowledge that we are located on the traditional territory of the Anishnawbe, Haudenosaunee and Neutral peoples.

As it relates to Indigenous culture, respect is a traditional concept built into the seven natural laws and seven sacred grandfather teachings.

Learn more about why we acknowledge the land and access elders, un-traditional counselling, and events with Aboriginal Services.

Safe Space

Repect@Conestoga is a college-wide initiative, coordinated by Student Engagement. Student Engagement is committed to welcoming and including all members of the community in positive spaces.
