The Medical Care Clinic offers the following services by appointment:
- access to a family doctor
- annual physicals
- allergy injections
- pregnancy counselling and testing
- prenatal care
- screening for Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)
- prescriptions for medications
- treatments for illness and injuries
- referral to specialists
- mental health concerns
- medical notes
It is important to know that sick (doctor's) notes will not be provided unless you were treated in the Medical Care Clinic on the day you were sick. There is a $10 fee for sick notes.
Allergy injections are available by appointment. You need to supply the antigen and medical orders from your allergist. A 15–30 minute waiting period is required after each injection is given.
At Conestoga, there is a walk-in clinic nurse on-site during office hours and same-day doctor appointments are sometimes available. Come in early and check in with the reception desk to obtain appointment availability.
The Medical Care Clinic offers free, drop-in flu shot clinics every fall. These clinics are open to staff and students with a valid health card.
Condoms are available in the office, free of charge.
